Process Manufacturing

- Cutting, stacking, and clamping of high-grade silicon steel sheets to form the transformer core.
- Step-lap or mitred joint designs are used to reduce core losses.

- Winding of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) coils using copper or aluminum conductors.
- Insulation materials (paper, pressboard, or enamel) are applied between layers and turns.

- Assembling the wound coils onto the core legs.
- Inserting insulating cylinders, spacers, and clamping structures.

- Placing the assembled active part in a vacuum drying oven to remove moisture from insulation materials.

- Lowering the dried core-coil assembly into the transformer tank.
- Installing tank covers, gaskets, and bushings.
- Evacuating air from the transformer tank under high vacuum.
- Filling with pre-treated, dehydrated, and degassed insulating oil.

- Mounting accessories such as conservator tank, silica gel breather, Buchholz relay, pressure relief device, thermometers, radiators/coolers, and tap changer (if any).
- Routine tests: turns ratio, winding resistance, no-load loss, load loss, impedance voltage, insulation resistance, induced overvoltage withstand, etc.
- Type tests (if required): lightning impulse, temperature rise, short-circuit withstand.
