ToggleProject Background & Client Requirements
Special Power Supply Requirements of Food Industrial Parks: Food processing lines demand exceptionally high continuity and stability of power supply. Any interruption could lead to production halts, raw material spoilage, and significant economic losses. The presence of cold chain facilities within the park makes it particularly sensitive to power supply reliability.
Challenges of Diverse Loads and Environment: Industrial parks often experience high “inrush currents” from large equipment startups and potential harmonic pollution. Furthermore, the production environment may involve high temperatures and humidity, placing greater demands on the environmental adaptability and impact resistance of the power distribution equipment.
Energy Efficiency and Space Constraints: Traditional decentralized power distribution solutions require large areas of land, increasing land costs, and often have higher line loss rates, leading to hidden electricity cost losses. The client needed a compact substation solution that was compact, energy-efficient, and required minimal or no maintenance.
SH Power’s Solution
In response to the specific needs of Changfeng Food Industrial Park, SH Power provided a customized European-style compact substation solution:
Core Equipment Configuration:
European-Style Compact Substation: Adopts a “line” or “pin” type structural layout, integrating the 10kV high-voltage switchgear, dry-type transformer (100kVA~2500kVA optional), and low-voltage distribution unit (including circuit breakers, meters, reactive power compensation modules) into a single enclosure.
Technical Highlights & Customized Design:
Enhanced Environmental Adaptability and Safety: The enclosure is constructed from double-layer galvanized steel plates or stainless steel, achieving an IP54 protection rating, effectively resisting rain, dust, and pest intrusion. The housing features a double-layer, sealed, corrosion-resistant, and thermally insulated structure, with fireproof insulation material between the layers. The top cover uses a sloped design with an inclination greater than 10 degrees to prevent water accumulation. All live parts are fully insulated and sealed, with no exposed components.
Compact Design and Space Efficiency: The European-style compact substation occupies only about one-third the space of traditional decentralized solutions, significantly saving installation area. For a 2000kVA power demand, a traditional solution might require a 50㎡ room, whereas the compact substation needs only8~12㎡.
High Efficiency and Intelligent Management: Includes a built-in reactive power compensation module, automatically adjusting the power factor to 0.95 or above, avoiding grid penalties. Uses copper busbar direct connections, reducing cable joint losses, potentially lowering line loss rates from 5% to around 1.5%. Optional intelligent monitoring terminals support remote meter reading, load monitoring, and fault alarms (with real-time WeChat/SMS push notifications), enabling remote management of power data.
Handling Impact Loads and Harmonic Suppression: Utilizesfully sealed, low-loss copper-core transformers to withstand current impacts and internal temperature rises caused by frequent equipment start/stops. The low-voltage side employs high-breaking capacity circuit breakers to ensure rapid disconnection during short-circuit faults, protecting downstream sensitive equipment.
