Description

The core of the 220kV suspension composite insulator is created by resin-bonding millions of glass fibers that are aligned parallel along the axis of the FRP rod. This design achieves a tensile strength exceeding 600MPa, which is 3 to 5 times stronger than high-strength porcelain and comparable to high-quality carbon steel. The core exhibits excellent resistance to bending and fatigue, enabling it to withstand the mechanical loads of synthetic insulators. It serves as the primary component of the internal insulation. The selection of low-creep reinforcing fibers and resin ensures that the core rod maintains superior mechanical and electrical properties.

  • Utilizing a specialized A and B rubber mixing process, silica and aluminum powder are treated separately during rubber refining, ensuring thorough and even dispersion of all powders and matching agents, which enhances the stability of the vulcanized rubber.
  • High-quality fumed silica is used, resulting in an umbrella material with a tearing strength of at least 4.8 MPa, a tear strength of no less than 13.5 N/mm, and a tearing elongation of no less than 260%, all contributing to excellent physical and mechanical properties.
  • D50=1±0.3μm and D50=3~6μm aluminum hydroxide powders are employed, addressing the issues of sticky molds caused by overly small aluminum powder particles and poor umbrella sleeve performance due to excessively large particles. This ensures outstanding electrical and mechanical properties of the umbrella sleeve material.

Key Features

  • Wide Product Range

Overhead line high-voltage, extra-high voltage, and ultra-high voltage suspension products; high-voltage line post-type products; composite crossarms for distribution networks; composite post insulators for substation busbars and equipment.

  • Advanced Composite Materials

Manufactured with high-strength epoxy fiberglass cores and high-quality silicone rubber housings, they offer excellent pollution flashover resistance and anti-aging performance.

  • Lightweight & High Strength

At the same voltage level and mechanical strength class, composite insulators weigh only about 1/7 to 1/10 of ceramic/glass insulators, reducing steel consumption for towers and lines and significantly cutting infrastructure costs.

  • Excellent Electrical Performance

With a pollution flashover voltage more than twice that of ceramic/glass insulators, they minimize the risk of flashover failures caused by contamination, indirectly lowering operation and maintenance expenses.

  • Strong Weather Resistance

They operate reliably in harsh environments such as extreme cold, high temperatures, coastal areas, and heavily polluted regions.

  • Long Service Life

Thanks to an eco-friendly and intelligent manufacturing process, composite insulators offer excellent quality consistency and a service life exceeding 30 years.

Applications and Utility

  • Transmission lines and substations

Through material innovation and structural optimization, composite insulators achieve an optimal balance of high strength, lightweight design, and long service life. Offering high cost-effectiveness, they are critical components in modern power systems for enhancing line safety and are widely used in transmission lines and substations.

  • Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) Transmission Lines

Our composite insulators are extensively used in 1000kv,±800kV and other UHV DC and AC transmission projects, providing reliable insulation for critical national power arteries.

  • Converter and Substations

Composite post insulators serve as the external-insulation support components for all kinds of equipment in converter stations and substations, providing both electrical insulation and structural support for busbars and electrical apparatus.

  • DC and AC Filter Systems

Widely applied to support reactors and capacitors in DC and AC filter fields, which are crucial for maintaining power quality in the grid.

  • High-Voltage Electrical Equipment

Used as integral insulation components for various high-voltage equipment, including circuit breakers, disconnectors, and arresters.
